New International shipping procedures as of May 12, 2021, please read:
International Orders and Shipping:
Sadly, due to ever changing regulations among the 195 countries on Earth, we must change our international shipping procedures. Beginning May 12, 2021, ALL freight and most small package shipping for international orders will be handled by a freight forwarder, i.e. a professional who knows how to handle the paperwork required. The time savings should more than recover any small increases in costs. Using a professional freight forwarder also allows the shipment to be covered by secondary shipping insurance, normally included free or at a very inexpensive rate, as opposed to the carrier’s typically useless insurance. THIS IS A VERY GOOD THING!
After you have placed an order that requires international shipping, we will ask how you want to handle the shipping. You may use the freight forwarder that we have used for years. Contact Michael LeWinter at Globaltranz He can be reached at lewinter.m@globaltranz.com or phone (623) 230-4150. Michael is very familiar with our procedures and products.
When you contact Michael LeWinter, preferably by email, give him your name, shipping address, phone number, and any other relevant info. Michael will set up a shipping account for you at no cost. You’ll then provide him with a credit card to pay for the shipping. Once this is done, your international shipping can be handled quickly and efficiently.
We will provide Michael LeWinter with the information that he needs so that your order transits through customs efficiently. Our shipping responsibility ends when the products are picked up by the carrier at our shop.
You can provide your own freight forwarder if you like. We will provide them with the information that they need so that your order transits through customs efficiently. Our shipping responsibility ends when the products are picked up by the carrier at our shop.
And now for the longer, boring legal stuff:
Terms & Conditions:
LEGAL NAME
f1aircraft.com is owned by Frazier Aviation LLC, dba also as Team Rocket. Frazier Aviation LLC is registered and based in Indiana.
RISK
Our products are all experimental in nature and you assume all risk for their use for any purpose. f1aircraft.com, Frazier Aviation LLC, Team Rocket LLC, our employees, volunteers, and affiliates have no control over what you do with any item after purchase.
PAYMENT
Credit cards: Our web store software does NOT retain your credit card information. Therefore it is impossible for us to add to your order, adjust shipping charge insufficiencies, or do anything that requires an additional payment until we contact you. Please make sure your contact info is correct!
Note: We reserve the right to add a 3% convenience fee (4% for international orders) to credit card purchases in order to cover the fees that credit card companies charge us.
Checks: Checks are less costly for you than credit card transactions. We happily accept your checks. Kindly make sure that they don’t bounce.
It will be at our discretion as to whether to ship before we receive your check. Please plan accordingly.
NON-PAYMENT
You need to pay us so we can keep the lights on, pay our own bills, etc. If you don’t, we’ll stop sending you stuff until you get your account up to date.
We reserve the right to do other unpleasant things too, like get courts involved, or put a lien on your aircraft, or say bad things about you on Facebook. So, let’s just not go there. Our simple rule is: You send us money. We send you parts. Easy. Everyone is happy.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING
The bulky and pricey items on our web store will often require that we obtain an accurate shipping quote before you can purchase. Please contact us with your needs and we will send you an accurate quote, including shipping.
Orders are normally shipped on the same day that we receive your payment, however, please allow us time to get special, or large orders together.
USPS, FedEx, and UPS pick up times vary daily. We can’t control when they arrive.
Although we stock the vast majority of the items on our online store, we cannot assure that they will all be on hand at all times. We ship every order as quickly as possible, and in the event of a delay, be assured that we are working hard to get your order shipped promptly.
Due to schedule disruptions during holidays, we cannot guarantee that all orders placed can ship on the day after the holiday. IMPORTANT! Orders placed while we are away at a show, i.e. Oshkosh Airventure or Sun and Fun, will be shipped when we return to the shop.
Special order products may take a few days, weeks, or months, to ship depending on the production schedule involved. Contact us to find out more. We’ll provide our best estimate
Web store shipping calculations are estimates only based on actual weight not dimensional size. The website shipping software has limitations. This is unavoidable. We’re airplane guys, not programmers. If dimensional weight or packing corrections are applicable to your package it will be held until we contact you to remedy the shipping cost difference. FYI, our software does NOT retain your credit card information, so we will contact you for a credit card number if the shipping estimate is too low.
Rates: We apply UPS, FedEx, & USPS retail rates to calculate shipping costs. Packages may not qualify for actual weight due to size. If dimensional weight is applied by UPS, FedEx, & USPS your shipping & packing rate will be adjusted.
UPS and FedEx: Packages are typically sent “no signature required”. You agree our delivery responsibility ends when the carrier picks up the shipment. If you prefer signature required delivery for your packages, please tell us by phone, email, or in the order comments. In other words, it’s our responsibility to get the items shipped, but after they leave our dock, they belong to you. Plan accordingly.
If your UPS or FedEx package arrives damaged, you should refuse the delivery and have it returned here. If you accept it and it’s damaged, you should take photos before, during, and after opening the package. You should also retain all packaging and packing materials in case a damage claim must be filed.
USPS: We typically use USPS Priority Mail. USPS may not always have tracking information available. We rarely use USPS first class mail due to the lack of tracking and poor performance, particularly on foreign shipments. If you request lower cost USPS shipping, such as first class, or parcel post, etc., you agree to accept all responsibility for lost, stolen and damaged packages, and delays. You agree our delivery responsibility ends when the carrier picks up the shipment.
SHIPPING INSURANCE: The carriers typically only insure packages up to $100. Packages over $100 may be insured a secondary insurance provider, for an additional small fee. We may add the cost to your invoice, typically 1% of the invoice value. You may specifically ask us to insure the shipment, otherwise it is at our discretion. You agree we are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during delivery.
Should a loss occur, you are responsible to report it to the carrier, photograph and record the damage, report it to us, and retain all packaging. We will do what we can to assist in the claim process, time permitting, but you will be expected to do your part.
DOMESTIC FREIGHT: As of January, 2020, we have changed our freight payment requirements. After you have placed an order that requires domestic freight shipping, we will ask how you want to handle the shipping.
Once this is done, your domestic freight shipping can be handled quickly and efficiently. Our shipping responsibility ends when the products are picked up by the carrier at our shop.
You can provide your own freight forwarder if you like. We will provide them with the information that they need so that your order ship efficiently. Our shipping responsibility ends when the products are picked up by the carrier at our shop.
The purpose of having freight charges billed directly to your credit card is that it takes us out of the payment loop and you are billed directly. It was necessary for us to do this because we were getting charged for address mistakes made by customers (see below). Obviously, dealing with those things wastes our time.
Freight shipments require accurate delivery addresses, preferably a business address to minimize cost, and accurate contact information. Freight companies will charge you for your mistakes, whether intentional or not, and often charge extra to deliver behind gates. Gates are often found at airport entrances, or at residential gated communities. It is your responsibility to make certain that you provide complete and accurate information in order to get an accurate freight estimate. So, make sure to give the complete and accurate delivery information if you need a freight delivery.
Additional freight insurance is available and is highly recommended as the carrier’s do not provide significant coverage. We recommend the additional coverage when obtaining a freight quote and it is your (poor) choice to refuse it. Keep in mind that when the freight leaves our dock, or is delivered by us to the freight carrier’s dock, our responsibility ends. Should damage occur during transit, consider carefully before signing for it. The driver is NOT responsible and may say “Just sign here.” At a minimum sign your name with the words “Freight damaged in transit” or similar. Or refuse the shipment if it has significant damage!
YOU must to report any damage immediately, to the delivery driver, freight company, and us! Take photographs and record the damage. Retain all packaging materials. If hidden damage is found later, you must report is ASAP to the insurance company. Report it to us also. We’ll help get you pointed in the right direction, but it will be your responsibility to follow up on the claim so that you can get paid for the damage.

If an order is placed for a backordered item we will email the most current estimated ship date we have and also provide updates via email as we receive them from our supplier. In that instance, we will credit the original method of payment for the item, along with any applicable tax fees and shipping charges. An email will also be sent to alert you of the situation.
